Beneficiaries

What you should know

Why have Hoopers contacted you?

When someone dies without leaving a will (known legally as dying intestate), their estate should go to their closest living relations. However, sometimes no close relatives are known.

One of Hoopers' main professional objectives is to identify legitimate beneficiaries. Those we identify are often either totally unaware of their relationship to the deceased, or have only a vague recollection of a distant relative.

You may have a claim

If we have been in touch, it will be because you may be entitled to a share of an unclaimed estate. We have helped many people in your situation and we know how unexpected such news can be.

The very fact that we have contacted you means that there are strong grounds for thinking that you could have a legitimate claim.

An established reputation

Hoopers have been successfully tracing beneficiaries for 100 years, during which time we have earned the trust and the respect of the legal profession.

If Hoopers are involved, you can be assured of complete professionalism and total confidentiality in every aspect of your case.

To find out more about us, our history and our people, please visit the About Hoopers page on this website.

No inheritance, no charge

You will only be asked to pay an agreed fee if or when you receive an inheritance. We never ask for any advance payment and, should the estate come to nothing (e.g. if a will is discovered belatedly), you pay nothing.

We're here to help

We have prepared a list of frequently asked questions. We hope that you find them useful, but we're also very happy to answer any questions by email or phone.

Please feel free to contact us about anything you need to know regarding your case or any other related matter.
