Hoopers' people

Our company was founded in 1923 by Alfred Hooper. From 1969 the firm traded in his son's name, George B Hooper - with the founder's grandson Roger Hooper taking over stewardship in 1983 until his retirement in 2007. Since 1997 we have been best known as Hoopers.

Michael Tringham Mike Tringham, our Chairman, joined Hoopers over 35 years ago as a junior researcher. He has many years’ experience in all aspects of the business - from the mysteries of genealogy to the intricacies of probate law.   Bob Couldrey Bob Couldrey, our Company Secretary, joined Hoopers in 1991, following twenty-six years in the British Army.
Our case managers:
Kevin Edmondson Kevin Edmondson has 25 years’ experience in genealogy. Our most senior case manager, he also handles all our French cases.   Jeremy Ford Jeremy Ford is an experienced genealogical researcher. He manages a research team and also looks after many cases personally.
Alex Avery Alex Avery is one of our many linguists. With more than a decade’s experience, he specialises in our European, Canadian and North American cases.   Johnathan Wright Johnathan Wright joined Hoopers from school in 1991. He is very experienced in assisting beneficiaries with their claim as the 'face' of Hoopers.
Michael Denton Michael Denton has studied genealogy since his schooldays. With more than twenty-four years' experience of research, he liaises closely with potential beneficiaries.
